I think I have to concur, though I usually go for the 60s art movy actresses like Bibi Andersson or Natalya Bondarchuk or Eva Mattes, or Christine Noonan in If… . That said, if one of those four got a short back and sides and tank top I’m not sure what I would do. Bibi Andersson smoking a pipe in Wild Strawberries is already pretty intense.

Zenobia,
I never heard of any of those women before, (I am woefully lacking in film knowledge) but i googled them and I have to say Bibi Andersson is lush (I am also a big fan of the yound audrey hepburn)

I have to say, I don’t find Google Image Search does any of them justice - for instance, the only picture of Eva Mattes I could find is the one where she’s being brutally stabbed by Klaus Kinski in Woyzeck.
Bibi Andersson is something, if Persona wasn’t such a creepy movie I would have been trying to climb inside the TV screen.

Oh dear, memories of drunking giggling in front of a computer screen returning to me from somewhere …

No objections to Katherine Hepburn, definitely, plus she’s awesomely cool. I also always had a bit of a thing for Lauren Bacall.
Actually, I was watching late 80s - early 90s Sonic Youth videos the other day, and Kim and Thurston were looking so amazing in them it was really pretty distracting.
